So far I have had research interests that span the spectrum from non-equilibrium systems to entanglement theory. Quantum information theory has substantially enriched our current understanding about quantum correlations, however many questions remain open such as the development of experimental friendly inseparability criteria or a meaningful description of energy transport at very low temperatures in presence of quantum correlations.
Nonetheless, my interest also concerns with any manifestation of quantum phenomena. For instance, I am fascinated by superconducting materials since they remain as an exception of the largely unexplored quantum world in macroscopic systems. I also find the quantum information tools like Matrix Product State, which are paving the way to study fundamental aspects about Physics in general, extremely exciting. They will likely provide a deeper understanding of quantum phenomena in many physical fields, as novel research in condensed matter is already illustrating.
